Angela L., The Brass Mallet, Owner + Founder

Kamloops, BC

The Brass Mallet creates one of a kind, hand stamped jewelry in Kamloops, BC. Each piece is stamped by Founder Angela with care, one letter at a time using steel stamps and hammered with a brass mallet. This is the charm of hand stamping, making each piece unique.

Where did the inspiration for your business stem from?

I wanted to make a piece of jewellery that represented being a mom and the love I have for my child. Learning the art of hand stamping was something that I felt drawn to. I love the personalization of it and the endless possibilities. I began making meaningful and unique pieces for my friends and family.

What is the best part of what you do and why?

The best part of what I do is hearing from my customers after they have received their jewelry. I love being able to create meaningful jewelry and it warms my heart to hear how much it means to them.

The advice I would give my younger self is to follow what makes you happy, even if it isn’t the easiest choice. You’ll never know what you are capable of if you don’t try.
