Eva created Baby Delish, a single ingredient organic purees that is still sold in frozen offerings, as well as fresh made and meals by special order. When the non-baby clientele fell in love with their ‘baby-food’ Eva founded So Delish. All food is sourced from organic, Ontario farms with the goal to connect people to great local, organic, ethically raised food. A desire to reduce waste led to So Delish dehydrated line as well, with a much longer shelf life they remain tasty and easy to use. So Delish, earned Foodland Ontario recognition and certification for providing products exclusively sourced from Ontario farms.

What is the best part of what you do and why?

I love seeing the faces and reactions of people who are surprised and fall in love with local, organic food that is grown and processed with care. In particular, it’s incredibly fulfilling seeing kids appreciate how incredible local, organic produce tastes. Educating folks about produce they are unfamiliar with and sharing new information to help people be better consumers is very satisfying.

What are your goals for the next five years?

My goals are fairly fluid. I’ve adapted, changed and added items/services, as customers have demanded. Ideally, I’d like to be turning a consistent profit and be able to better support our local farms. I’m definitely not in this business to get rich.

Where did the inspiration for your business stem from?

Originally, So Delish started as Baby Delish. Working as a doula and cooking first foods for a client, I realized there weren’t fresh, ready-to-eat options for babies. This very quickly branched out to marketing these same products for all ages! In the 2019 growing season, I had the opportunity to work with one of my supplier farms and took the chance to learn and see all that went into growing organically. During that time, the inspiration for the dried products blossomed in an effort to reduce farm waste and create more ways to use items.
